Description of Section

This includes the number of accessible spaces, the distance of the accessible spaces from the accessible entrance, and the accessibility of the path from the accessible spaces to the sidewalk that the entrance is on (includes curb ramps).

Details

  • There are 3 accessible parking spaces near this establishment, all 3 are 100-200 feet away from the entrance

  • The paths to the entrance from the accessible spaces is very smooth and the curb ramp has a very gradual slope and slip-resistant material

Entrance

Description of Section

This includes how easy it is to find the accessible entrance, steps/ramps/pathways from the curb ramp/sidewalk to the door, width of entrance door, lip under the entrance door, presence of automatic door openers, reachability of the door handle, and the weight of the door.

Details

  • There is one set of double doors used for the entrance and exit to this establishment, with no automatic door openers

  • When taking the curb ramp path, the entrance/exit is step-free

  • The door opening for each door is about 33-34 inches wide, and the lip is not difficult to navigate over

  • The entrance/exit doors are a little heavy and difficult to open, but the door openers used to open them are at accessible heights off the ground and do not require gripping

This includes the accessibility of water fountains/drinking coolers (height off the ground & space around), the reachability of complimentary water/refreshments, and whether or not employees get and transport water/refreshments for you.

  • Staff gets and transports water and refreshments to patrons

Interior Pathways

Description of Section

This includes accessibility of lifts/ramps/elevators, signage to find accessibility features, widths of pathways, cleanliness of pathways, how steep pathways are, presence of inaccessible areas, and the weight/lip/height of handles & knobs of doors not covered by other sections.

Details

  • All pathways for patrons to access are at least 3 feet wide

  • Machines, coat hangers, and other equipment are on wheels and are made to be moved to the position that’s best for the patron

Description of Section

This includes how helpful and polite employees are (our speciality)!

Details

  • Employees are polite and helpful

  • Employees are not afraid to offer their assistance

Seating

Description of Section

This includes if the seating is removable in all functional areas and if employees are around to help with seating.

Details

  • All seats can be adjusted and moved to the position that’s best for the patron

  • There is a hydraulic table that can be adjusted to different heights and angles, and has a headrest as well

Bathroom

Description of Section

This includes bathrooms being labeled as accessible, the width of bathroom and accessible stall doors, location of doors, height of door openers off the floor, weight of doors, presence of appropriate grab bars, the ability for a customer using a wheelchair to completely turn around in the bathroom/accessible stall, the height of the flush controls off the floor, the reachability of the sink/toilet paper/soap/drying equipment/lights, and the height of mirrors off the floor.

Details

  • There is one bathroom that customers can use, located near the back of the establishment

  • The bathroom is spacious enough for a customer using a wheelchair to do a 360-degree turn, however there is a trash can that is close to the sink

  • There are 3 grab bars around the toilet

  • The bathroom door stays open and the light stays on for patrons

  • The bathroom door is not difficult to open or close, and has: a wide doorway, no lip underneath it, and a handle at an accessible height

  • The toilet paper is 9-15 inches from the center of the front of the toilet, but is easy to move

  • The sink and soap are at accessible heights off the bathroom floor, but the mirror and paper towel dispenser are not

Point of Sale

Description of Section

This includes the reachability of merchandise (including food and drinks), the height of the counter which customers pay at, and the presence of a removable tablet/card reader.

Details

  • The point of sale counter is not at an accessible height, however there is a removable tablet and card reader that can be moved wherever is easiest for the customer

  • There are bags with handles to carry items home

  • Some items could be considered hard to reach, but staff is ready to help upon request

Amenities

Description of Section

This includes the presence of accessibility features to make this establishment go above and beyond the accessibility of other establishments of the same type.

Details

  • There is an accessible hydraulic massage table that is 30 inches wide, can get as low as 19 inches off the floor, has a removable headrest, and can be raised to a seated position

  • This location has been VisitAble certified, and is working on acquiring more amenities to increase accessibility
