There are two accessible parking spaces, one of them being van accessible, right outside the accessible entrance of the Purcellville Town Hall
The pathway to get on the sidewalk from the parking spaces is accessible with curb ramps that are easy to navigate

Description of Section
This includes how easy it is to find the accessible entrance, steps/ramps/pathways from the curb ramp/sidewalk to the door, width of entrance door, lip under the entrance door, presence of automatic door openers, reachability of the door handle, and the weight of the door.
Details
There is clear and plenty of signage that directs people to the accessible entrance
The accessible entrance has an automatic door to enter the building, but not to exit
The button to operate the door and the door handles are at accessible heights, the door is not too heavy, and the door opening is more than 36 inches wide
There is no maneuvering space next to the accessible door to exit, but you have to push the door to get out and you can just do a forward approach
The lip underneath the door is not difficult to navigate over

This includes the accessibility of water fountains/drinking coolers (height off the ground & space around).

There are two water fountains between the two bathrooms on the second floor of the building, and both are accessible

Interior Pathways
Description of Section
This includes accessibility of lifts/ramps/elevators, signage to find accessibility features, widths of pathways, cleanliness of pathways, how steep pathways are, presence of inaccessible areas, and the weight/lip/height of handles & knobs of doors not covered by other sections.
Details
There is signage throughout the facility which helps visitors navigate
Almost all pathways are more than 36 inches wide, except the pathway to the conference room on the 3rd floor of the building from the elevator which might have some items blocking the path
The first floor bathrooms and vending machine is only accessible by using stairs or by going through locked doors that are only meant for staff
The stairs near the front of the building have a low vertical clearance with the ceiling above it - around 72 inches
The elevator has a 36-inch wide door opening, the elevator car itself is 48 inches wide and 55 inches deep, there is one handrail on one side of the elevator at 32 inches off the elevator floor, and the buttons are all at accessible heights off the elevator floor

This includes if there is seating that is removable and accessible in all functional areas.
Details
Almost all chairs throughout the location have seating surfaces at accessible heights off the floor and are easily movable
All chairs in conference rooms have adjustable heights and have wheels which make them easy to roll around
All table surfaces are around 30 inches above the floor

Bathroom
Description of Section
This includes bathrooms being labeled as accessible, the width of bathroom and accessible stall doors, location of doors, height of door openers off the floor, weight of doors, presence of appropriate grab bars, the ability for a customer using a wheelchair to completely turn around in the bathroom/accessible stall, the height of the flush controls off the floor, the reachability of the sink/toilet paper/soap/drying equipment/lights, and the height of mirrors off the floor.

There are two sets of bathrooms labeled Men’s and Women’s, and they are all labeled as accessible: one set of bathrooms is on the first floor and the other is on the second floor, but they are identical inside
The bathroom doors are easy to open force-wise, are 32-33 inches wide, have door handles at accessible heights, and have the appropriate maneuvering clearances on both sides of the doors
There are hand sanitizer dispensers next to the Women’s bathrooms, and they might be considered a little difficult to reach for some visitors
The accessible stalls in the bathrooms are least 60 inches wide by 60 inches deep, have accessible doors/locks/handles, there are three accessible grab bars around the toilets, and the toilet paper is even with the front centers of the toilets
The sinks, mirrors, and light switches are at accessible heights off the bathroom floors, but the paper towel and soap dispensers are not
The piping underneath the sinks is completely covered

Point of Sale
Description of Section
This includes the the height of the counters where customers pay at, the reachability of everything at the point of sale counters, and the accessibility of vending machines.
Details
There are two finance counters where people can pay bills, one of them is at 35 inches above the floor
There are also two zoning counters, and one of them is at 35.5 inches above the floor
Only cash and checks are accepted at these counters, and everything on top of the counters is reachable
There is a vending machine between the two bathrooms on the first floor (can only be accessed by stairs and by locked doors that only employees can access), and the buttons on the vending machine could be considered difficult to reach for some visitors

This includes the presence of accessibility features to make this establishment go above and beyond the accessibility of other establishments of the same type.
Details
There is plenty of signage both outside the building as well as inside the building to help with navigation
There is an accessible ramp to get to the raised platform where the Town Council sits in the Council Chambers
