Parking

Description of Section

This includes the number of accessible spaces, the distance of the accessible spaces from the accessible entrance, and the accessibility of the path from the accessible spaces to the sidewalk that the entrance is on (includes curb ramps).

Details

  • There are 2 accessible spaces right next to Haske Field

  • There are also 3 more accessible parking spots that are about 300 feet away from Haske Field, and the two spaces closest to Haske Field are Van Accessible

  • The pathway to get on the sidewalk from the parking spaces is accessible with curb ramps that are easy to navigate

Section

Entrance

Description of Section

This includes how easy it is to access seating and the baseball fields from the sidewalk.

Details

  • In order to get to the seating and the baseball fields, visitors have to go through thick grass

  • It is extremely easy to find the seating, but there is no signage to instruct visitors on the most accessible pathways to get on the main Haske Field, or how to get to the secondary Haske Field

  • The ground has varying levels of steepness, although getting to the seating area for the main Haske Field is much more level

Interior Pathways

Description of Section

This includes signage to find accessibility features, widths of pathways, cleanliness of pathways, how steep pathways are, the surface of pathways, presence of inaccessible areas, and the weight/lip/height of handles & knobs of doors not covered by other sections.

Details

  • All pathways are more than 36 inches wide, besides the gap between the fences at the secondary Haske Field, where the pathway is about 34 inches wide

  • Almost none of the pathways are paved besides the sidewalk, and the steepness of the pathways varies widely

  • The practice areas that are near the dugouts, as well as the dugouts themselves are not accessible to get to due to steps

  • There is no signage to help visitors navigate how to get to Craun’s Kitchen

Seating

Description of Section

This includes if there is seating that is removable and accessible in all functional areas.

Details

  • There are a couple bleachers in both of the Haske Fields and most, if not all have space in the grass next to them for visitors with mobility devices

  • The first bleacher is about 13-16 inches off the ground for all the sets of bleachers

  • There are a couple picnic tables in this location that have table surfaces at 28.5 inches above the ground, seating surfaces at 16 inches above the ground, and both the table and bench surfaces extend 7 inches past the legs of the tables

  • There are benches at accessible heights next to the secondary Haske Field

Bathroom

Description of Section

This includes the availability of accessible porta potties.

Details

  • There were two non-accessible porta potties at this location at the time of our assessment

Section

Point of Sale

Description of Section

This includes the the height of the counters where customers pay at, the reachability of everything at the point of sale counters

Details

  • There is one green building called “Craun’s Kitchen” where it looks like concessions can be sold

  • The counter of Craun’s Kitchen is at 37 inches off of the ground

  • There is hand sanitizer nearby that is about 43 inches off the ground

  • If anything is sold from Craun’s Kitchen, the person behind the counter would handle getting any merchandise/snacks and bringing it to the customer

Amenities

Description of Section

This includes the presence of accessibility features to make this establishment go above and beyond the accessibility of other establishments of the same type.

Details

  • There is a pathway to get to the fields that does not require going up and down stairs, as well as a pathway made of fine gravel on the field

  • Staff that help overlook this facility have gone through VisitAble’s Disability Etiquette Training
