Parking
Description of Section
This includes the number of accessible spaces, the distance of the accessible spaces from the accessible entrance, and the accessibility of the path from the accessible spaces to the sidewalk that the entrance is on (includes curb ramps).
Details
There are 3 accessible parking spaces which are less than 100 feet away from the entrance
The pathway to get on the sidewalk from the accessible parking spaces has an accessible curb ramp, and the lip at the beginning of the curb ramp is small and easy to navigate over

Entrance
Description of Section
This includes how easy it is to find the accessible entrance, steps/ramps/pathways from the curb ramp/sidewalk to the door, width of entrance door, lip under the entrance door, presence of automatic door openers, reachability of the door handle, and the weight of the door.
Details
Both the entrance and the exit have two automatic doors, there are two mats between the doors
The door openings are about 32 inches wide and the lips underneath the doors are not hard to navigate over
The path is neither bumpy nor inclined upwards when getting to the door after one is on the sidewalk

Water/ Refreshments/ Samples
Description of Section
This includes the accessibility of water fountains/drinking coolers (height off the ground & space around), the reachability of complimentary water/refreshments/samples, and whether or not employees get and transport complimentary water/refreshments/samples for you.
Details
There is one water fountain between the Men’s and Women’s bathrooms which is at an accessible height with leg/foot room
There is also a counter in the cafe with cups and a water dispenser that could be considered difficult to reach for some customers
There are samples available in the sushi area, bakery area, cheese area, and the deli area
Samples are handed to customers in the sushi area, are placed on a surface at an inaccessible height in the bakery and deli areas, and are placed on a surface at an accessible height in the cheese area
Section
Food/ Drink
Description of Section
This section refers to food and drinks that are meant to be consumed as soon as you buy it (such as ice cream in a candy shop or a Starbucks in a grocery store). We take into consideration: the reachability of everything, the height of the point of sale off the floor, if employees offer to deliver food/drinks to customers, the accessibility of tables and seating, the presence of trays, and if you can leave dishes/trash at the table.
Details
There are some items that are unreachable in the Flavors Cafe, but staff is more than happy to help get, transport, or make anything
The point of sale counter is at an inaccessible height in the cafe area and the card reader does not move
There are accessible tables in this area, but if it is busy it might be hard to get to them or around them if people are in the way
There are not trays in this area
You can leave your trash and dishes at your table, and the employees are more than happy to clean up for you

Product
Description of Section
This includes the reachability of products that the location sells, the weight of the products the location sells, and the methods available for carrying around products.
Details
Some products are hard to reach and/or heavy
When the store is fully staffed (9-11 AM and 2-4 PM), employees should be nearby checking up on you or at least making themselves available to help in any way
To carry around products, this establishment provides two sizes of regular shopping carts and hand baskets

Interior Pathways
Description of Section
This includes accessibility of lifts/ramps/elevators, signage to find accessibility features, widths of pathways, cleanliness of pathways, how steep pathways are, presence of inaccessible areas, and the weight/lip/height of handles & knobs of doors not covered by other sections.
Details
Almost all pathways are at least 3 feet wide besides a couple exceptions in the main grocery section
There are a couple tight aisles in the wine section, merchandise section, produce section, and the seating in the cafe if it is busy
There are no inaccessible areas inside the store
There is a wheelchair and there are seats in the cafe area that employees are more than willing to bring to customers if needed

Point of Sale
Description of Section
This includes the height of the counters where customers pay at, the reachability of everything at the point of sale counters, the presence of a removable tablet/card reader, and if customers are offered bags with handles.
Details
The point of sale counters are at good heights in the grocery area
We consider the card readers in the grocery point of sale area reachable, but the card readers’ screens and buttons could be considered hard to see

Bathroom
Description of Section
This includes bathrooms being labeled as accessible, the width of bathroom and accessible stall doors, location of doors, height of door openers off the floor, weight of doors, presence of appropriate grab bars, the ability for a customer using a wheelchair to completely turn around in the bathroom/accessible stall, the height of the flush controls off the floor, the reachability of the sink/toilet paper/soap/drying equipment/lights, and the height of mirrors off the floor.
Details
There are two bathrooms (men’s and women’s), which are not labeled as accessible
The women’s bathroom has two pieces of furniture which make it difficult to transfer to the toilet, turn around, and get to the sink whereas customers using wheelchairs can do a 360 degree turn in the men’s bathroom with one piece of furniture in the room, depending on the size of the wheelchair
Each bathroom has 2 grab bars around the toilet
The toilet paper is 9-15 inches from the fronts of the toilets
The lights are always kept on in the bathrooms
The sink are at accessible heights in both bathrooms, the soap dispenser is at an accessible height in the Men’s bathroom (and not the Women’s), but the paper towel dispensers and mirrors are not at accessible heights in both of the bathrooms.
The bathroom doors are not heavy or difficult to open, and have: wide doorways, no lips under the doors, and handles at accessible heights

This includes how helpful and polite employees are (our speciality)!
Details
Employees acknowledge, are nice to, and offer some assistance to customers with mobility issues, however at certain times there aren’t enough employees to help and employees could offer more assistance in the cafe area

This includes the presence of accessibility features to make this establishment go above and beyond the accessibility of other establishments of the same type.
Details
There is a wheelchair and seating for customers in the cafe area
There are plastic/paper lightweight cups, straws, and lids in the cafe area
In the women’s bathroom there is a surface at an accessible height that customers can place items on
