Description of Section

This includes the number of accessible spaces, the distance of the accessible spaces from the accessible entrance, and the accessibility of the path from the accessible spaces to the sidewalk that the entrance is on (includes curb ramps).

Details

  • There are 5 accessible parking spaces

  • These parking spaces are about 100-200 feet from the entrance

  • One of the pathways is made out of brick

Entrance

Description of Section

This includes how easy it is to find the accessible entrance, steps/ramps/pathways from the curb ramp/sidewalk to the door, width of entrance door, lip under the entrance door, presence of automatic door openers, reachability of the door handle, and the weight of the door.

Details

  • Not an automatic door

  • The door that says "Enter Here" has a pipe going through the ramp that could be in the way for some customers trying to enter, however the unlabeled door does not have a pipe going through its ramp

  • The presence of the ramps to get in and out of the establishment could make it difficult to open the doors

Table Service

Description of Section

This includes if customers GENERALLY have to go somewhere else besides their table to pay, order, get food, get drinks, or put away dishes. We also consider if an establishment has trays for transporting food/drinks.

Details

  • Employees bring your food out to you

  • You have to go up to the counter to order and pay

  • We consider the beverage machines to be unreachable

  • You can leave your dishes and trash at your table

Description of Section

This includes accessibility of lifts/ramps/elevators, signage to find accessibility features, widths of pathways, cleanliness of pathways, how steep pathways are, presence of inaccessible areas, and the weight/lip/height of handles & knobs of doors not covered by other sections.

  • Pathways are all 3-feet wide

  • More signage could be used for bathrooms and for the accessible entrance

Description of Section

This includes how helpful and polite employees are (our speciality)!

  • Employees are polite, but could offer more assistance

Description of Section

This includes the accessibility of tables (height of surface from floor and leg/foot room underneath, location of tables, and accessible seating and counter height at bar area.

  • There are accessible seating and tables spread throughout the establishment

Description of Section

This includes the reachability of merchandise, the availability of employees in the merchandise area, and the availability of bags with handles to help carry merchandise.

  • Employees are near the merchandise area

  • There are bags with handles available

Bathroom

Description of Section

This includes bathrooms being labeled as accessible, the width of bathroom and accessible stall doors, location of doors, height of door openers off the floor, weight of doors, presence of appropriate grab bars, the ability for a customer using a wheelchair to completely turn around in the bathroom/accessible stall, the height of the flush controls off the floor, the reachability of the sink/toilet paper/soap/drying equipment/lights, and the height of mirrors off the floor.

Details

  • Soap, sink, and drying equipment are reachable

  • The bathroom is spacious

  • The mirror is not at an accessible height

  • The bathroom doors are not easy to open

  • The appropriate grab bars are available

Description of Section

This includes the presence of accessibility features to make this establishment go above and beyond the accessibility of other establishments of the same type.

Details

  • There is a shelf at an accessible height in the bathrooms

  • There are bags with handles

  • Lightweight cups, straws, and lids are available
