Parking

Description of Section

This includes the number of accessible spaces, the distance of the accessible spaces from the accessible entrance, and the accessibility of the path from the accessible spaces to the sidewalk that the entrance is on (includes curb ramps).

Details

  • There are 8 accessible parking spaces which are 100-200 feet away from the entrance

  • The pathway to get on the sidewalk from the accessible parking spaces has a curb ramp with a very gradual incline and slip-resistant material

Section

Entrance

Description of Section

This includes how easy it is to find the accessible entrance, steps/ramps/pathways from the curb ramp/sidewalk to the door, width of entrance door, lip under the entrance door, presence of automatic door openers, reachability of the door handle, and the weight of the door.

Details

  • The entrance has two sets of doors, neither of which are automatic

  • The doors are a little heavy

  • The door is wide enough and the lip underneath the door is not difficult to navigate over

  • There is no steps or incline to get to the entrance door from the sidewalk near the accessible parking spaces

Ticket Point of Sale

Description of Section

This includes the reachability of kiosks and counters, the presence of a removable tablet/card reader, and the information given when you purchase accessible seating tickets.

Details

  • Part of the ticket point of sale counter is at an accessible height

  • There is not a removable tablet or card reader, but the employees can take care of inserting/swiping your card for you as it is on their side of the counter

  • You cannot get tickets for accessible seats on the self-serve kiosk, but when you go to the counter and when you get tickets online they ask if you want the seat in or out of the accessible seating space

Seating

Description of Section

This includes the type of accessible seating the theaters have, whether or not there is a cup holder for the customer using the accessible seating, whether or not the arm rests are movable on the accessible seats, the size of the acessible seating spaces, the location of the accessible seating, and the labeling of the accessible seating.

Details

  • Accessible seating in this theater is a space with a removable seat

  • The armrests on these seats cannot be moved up and down

  • Whether the seat is in or out, the person in the accessible seating space will have a tray and a cupholder

  • The accessible seating space is at least 3 feet wide and at least 48 inches long and is completely separate from the path of travel

  • A person in the accessible seating space can see the screen easily

  • The accessible seats/spaces are not labeled as accessible

Concessions

Description of Section

This includes the accessibility of water fountains/drinking coolers (height off the ground & space around), the reachability of everything, the height of the counter you pay at, the presence of a removable tablet/card reader, the ability to order and pay from your seat, whether or not employees get and transport concessions for you, and the presence of trays.

Details

  • You can order and pay for food and drinks at your seat

  • Food and drinks are delivered to you

  • There is a tray for every 2 seats and you can leave your dishes and trash on there when you are done

Interior Pathways

Description of Section

This includes accessibility of lifts/ramps/elevators, signage to find accessibility features, widths of pathways, cleanliness of pathways, how steep pathways are, presence of inaccessible areas, and the weight/lip/height of handles & knobs of doors not covered by other sections.

Details

  • All pathways are at least 3 feet wide, and there are no inaccessible or steep areas

Section

Bathroom

Description of Section

This includes bathrooms being labeled as accessible, the width of bathroom and accessible stall doors, location of doors, height of door openers off the floor, weight of doors, presence of appropriate grab bars, the ability for a customer using a wheelchair to completely turn around in the bathroom/accessible stall, the height of the flush controls off the floor, the reachability of the sink/toilet paper/soap/drying equipment/lights, and the height of mirrors off the floor.

Details

  • There are accessible stalls in the men’s and women’s bathrooms but there is also an accessible family bathroom which we are addressing in this section

  • The bathroom is extremely spacious and has 3 grab bars near the toilet

  • The toilet paper is 9-15 inches away from the front of the toilet and the bathroom door is a little heavy

  • The sink, soap, mirror, and drying equipment are all at accessible heights off the bathroom floor

Description of Section

This includes the presence of accessibility features to make this establishment go above and beyond the accessibility of other establishments of the same type.

Details

  • There is an accessible family bathroom

  • There is a step stool in the accessible family bathroom
