Accessibility Notes
There are 11 accessible parking spaces, 4 of them are van-accessible spaces. The distance from the parking spots to the entrance ranges from approximately 240-385 feet. At the steepest, the slope of the pathway from the parking spaces to the entrance is around 5% or 1:20.
Once you enter the building, there is a ramp to the left to get to the main floor, and if you continue straight from the ramp, you will eventually see an elevator on your left. You want to take this elevator to the first floor to get to The Snack Shack. After exiting the elevator, you go straight past the check-in counters for the WaterPark area, through the doors in front of you, and The Snack Shack will be on your left.
There is a pathway marked by yellow barriers/boundaries to get to the counter. It’s possible this pathway is less than 36 inches wide, staff is more than happy to widen this pathway upon request, or you can wait in line outside of the yellow barriers/ boundaries.
There are 4 counters with points of sale in the Snack Shack. The 3 on the right have counters at 40 inches off the floor with card readers at 42-46 inches off the floor, which might be inaccessible to some customers. However, the counter to the farthest left has the top of its counter surface at 36 inches off the floor and the card reader buttons and screen is 39-42 inches off the floor. There is usually a kiosk in front of this register. Staff informed us that the kiosks buttons and screen should be within an accessible reach range. Keep in mind, when you check out, you can get trays, bags with handles, and plastic/paper cups, straws, and lids.
Chairs have seating surfaces at about 17 inches off the floor and are easily movable. Table surfaces are about 16.5 inches off the floor so there is not knee clearance underneath them. The tables are easily movable as well, and stay 6 feet apart from each other at minimum.
To get to the nearest bathroom, you want to make your way back to the elevator and turn left after you pass all the check-in counters for the WaterPark. The accessible stall is spacious, and the sink, soap, hand dryers, and mirrors are at accessible heights off the bathroom floor. All pathways are at least 36 inches wide to the bathroom and inside the bathroom as well.
