Details

  • There is 1 accessible space even though there are more than 25 total parking spaces

  • The accessible space is 100-200 feet away from the accessible entrance

  • There is a very long and big hill to get to the accessible parking space to the accessible entrance

Description of Section

This includes how easy it is to find the accessible entrance, steps/ramps/pathways from the curb ramp/sidewalk to the door, width of entrance door, lip under the entrance door, presence of automatic door openers, reachability of the door handle, and the weight of the door.

Details

  • Not an automatic door

  • The door is a little heavy

  • The door is wide enough, but the lip underneath the door is a little hard to navigate over

  • The path is bumpy and inclined from the sidewalk to the accessible door

  • There is no signage to help find the accessible entrance

Description of Section

This includes if customers GENERALLY have to go somewhere else besides their table to pay, order, get food, get drinks, or put away dishes. We also consider if an establishment has trays for transporting food/drinks.

  • Full table service is provided at this restaurant (you can order at your table and food, drinks, and the check is delivered to your table)

Interior Pathways

Description of Section

This includes accessibility of lifts/ramps/elevators, signage to find accessibility features, widths of pathways, cleanliness of pathways, how steep pathways are, presence of inaccessible areas, and the weight/lip/height of handles & knobs of doors not covered by other sections.

Details

  • Signs for drop-off zone for the entrance at the top of the hill, accessible entrance/exit pathway, and pathway to bathrooms could be helpful and are not there

  • Almost all pathways are more than 3 feet wide (with the exception of some pathways between certain tables), however during busy times people could be standing in the way of pathways

  • The door to outside seating is a little too heavy

Description of Section

This includes how helpful and polite employees are (our speciality)!

Details

  • Employees acknowledge, are nice to, and offer some assistance to customers with mobility issues, however could offer more assistance

This includes the accessibility of tables (height of surface from floor and leg/foot room underneath, location of tables, and accessible seating and counter height at bar area.

Details

  • There is accessible seating and tables spread throughout the inside and outside seating areas

  • There is no accessible seating in the bar area and there is not an accessible section of the bar

Description of Section

This includes the reachability of merchandise, the availability of employees in the merchandise area, and the availability of bags with handles to help carry merchandise.

Details

  • Some merchandise is unreachable and could be considered too heavy

  • There are not usually employees around the merchandise area

  • There are bags with handles available to carry merchandise around

Bathroom

Description of Section

This includes bathrooms being labeled as accessible, the width of bathroom and accessible stall doors, location of doors, height of door openers off the floor, weight of doors, presence of appropriate grab bars, the ability for a customer using a wheelchair to completely turn around in the bathroom/accessible stall, the height of the flush controls off the floor, the reachability of the sink/toilet paper/soap/drying equipment/lights, and the height of mirrors off the floor.

Details

  • The accessible stalls are spacious and have the appropriate grab bars

  • The toilet paper is reachable from the toilet

  • The sinks, light switches, and drying equipment are at accessible heights, but the soap and mirrors are not

  • The bathroom doors are a little heavy

Description of Section

This includes the presence of accessibility features to make this establishment go above and beyond the accessibility of other establishments of the same type.

Details

  • There are plastic/paper lightweight cups, straws, and lids

  • There are bags with handles to carry leftovers home

  • There are also step stools in the bathrooms
