  • The card readers in the main point of sale area where you pay for your groceries are not at accessible heights- while the card readers/screens might be reachable for some customers (more unreachable in the self-checkout area), the screens and card readers are a little too high to see the screen and all the buttons

  • There are bags with handles

This includes bathrooms being labeled as accessible, the width of bathroom and accessible stall doors, location of doors, height of door openers off the floor, weight of doors, presence of appropriate grab bars, the ability for a customer using a wheelchair to completely turn around in the bathroom/accessible stall, the height of the flush controls off the floor, the reachability of the sink/toilet paper/soap/drying equipment/lights, and the height of mirrors off the floor.

Justification of Score

  • The accessible stalls and the bathrooms are spacious and the accessible stalls have the appropriate grab bars

  • The toilet paper is 7-9 inches away from the fronts of the toilets

  • The sinks and drying equipment are at accessible heights, but the soap and mirrors are not

  • The bathroom doors are heavy, and you have to pull the accessible stall doors in the bathrooms towards you to get in them and that might put you in the swinging radius of the bathroom door or another stall door which could be dangerous
